WHAT BECOMES OF MALAYSIA BARU?
It has reached almost 2 years into the new Malaysia Baru and the rakyat is still kept in the dark on the economic improvements and reforms. Has the new government climbed down from their high horses and election win euphoria and faced realities? Apparently not, our Prime Minister is still acting like the greatest politician alive and insult other government leaders such as India, Myanmar and Hong Kong. Surely that's a quick disastrous step towards bad international relations. How pompous must the other governments think of Malaysia Baru? And yet we protect wanted fugitives like Zakir Naik, to what reason? In the meantime locally, the economy of Malaysia to put it plainly...suck
Back to the economy, the prevalent lack of catalysts is seen in the KLCI Index as it raced to the bottom at 1500. It has seen rebounded to 1600 mainly towards a year end window dressing activities. Without much impetus for growth, the economy seems destined to drift aimlessly scraping the bottom now and then. What has Pakatan Harapan done economically for the country and worse, is this all they can do? So far, the talks on major projects are not moving forward and worse there is no updates on the "progress". Even the RTS project turns out to be a joke. Right after a press conference to state the go ahead, the next day, a extension of another 6 months is sought. What about Bandar Malaysia, immigration project, 5G project and ECRL project updates?
The rakyat is beginning to face realities. The decisions or the non decisions signifies the administration does not know what to do. The Ministers are sitting pretty in their seats earning a big fat salary for nothing. Does the rakyat knows about the plans of the Tourism Minister? Does the rakyat knows who he is? PH seems to be concerned about by elections instead of boosting the economy.
Its beginning to look like the "lost" Badawi years where the economy slept for 5 years.
Malaysia Baru need a new economic hero. Someone who can run the country like a fine tuned corporation not a classic government agency. Incompetent Ministers is to be fired. Fat has to go while a mean, lean administration has to be structured.
Its time for change again, nobody is indispensable.
